Icons describe general node roles, inferred from node types. Inspect the parameters for the configured action.
Drag to pan; use + and − to zoom. Reconstructed from the exported node positions; nothing runs here. Dashed lines represent non-main connections. Full node names and notes appear below.
How it works
The exported workflow contains the following configured nodes. Their connections are shown above; inspect the JSON for the complete logic, expressions, and external actions.
| Node | Category | Type | Operation |
|---|---|---|---|
| When clicking ‘Test workflow’ | Trigger | Manual Trigger | See node parameters |
| Limit | Transform | Limit | See node parameters |
| Reading Google News RSS | Integration | Rss Feed Read | See node parameters |
| Decoded url | Transform | Edit Fields | See node parameters |
| Call decoding URL | Web / API | HTTP Request | POST |
| Prepare decoding variables | Code | Code | See node parameters |
| Get encoded news URL | Web / API | HTTP Request | See node parameters |
| Map needed keys | Transform | Edit Fields | See node parameters |
| Extract decoding keys | Transform | Html | extractHtmlContent |
| Aggregate results in a single object | Transform | Aggregate | See node parameters |
Setup
- Download the JSON and import it into an isolated n8n instance. Leave the workflow inactive.
- Connect your own credentials through n8n’s credential store. Replace
REPLACE_WITH_*values with your resource identifiers. - Inspect API destinations, Code nodes, database queries, file paths, and outbound actions.
- Run with synthetic data and harmless destinations. Enable triggers only after checking the actual outputs.
Requirements
An n8n instance with the listed node types and compatible versions. Service-connected workflows may require accounts, credentials, or paid APIs.
Credential types declared in the source
None declared. HTTP requests and Code nodes may still need configuration.

Change the language parameters on ISO639-1 standard
- hl=it
- gl=IT
- ceid=IT:it
Limit result
Limit result
I suggest limiting the results to a maximum of 3 because the entire workflow makes a lot of HTTP requests

Disclaimer: You can add a cron trigger but... don't do too often: Google could block your ip.
This workflow works until works: the decoding procedure is hardcoded and based on reverse engineering. Requests and responses are not documented by Google.

Decoding Keys
Decoding Keys
The HTML content extracted contains the necessary variables for decoding:
- signature
- timestamp
- base64string (already in the URL)

Preparing Request
Preparing Request
Decoding the request requires specific body content. Here, we build it using the decoding keys.

OUTPUT
OUTPUT
A lot of requests are made before getting clean News URLs.
You can add an HttpRequest and get News text with jina.ai, extract by using HTML node, or a custom node like https://www.npmjs.com/package/n8n-nodes-webpage-content-extractor
