Icons describe general node roles, inferred from node types. Inspect the parameters for the configured action.
Drag to pan; use + and − to zoom. Reconstructed from the exported node positions; nothing runs here. Dashed lines represent non-main connections. Full node names and notes appear below.

Setup
- Download the JSON and import it into an isolated n8n instance. Leave the workflow inactive.
- Connect your own credentials through n8n’s credential store. Replace
REPLACE_WITH_*values with your resource identifiers. - Inspect API destinations, Code nodes, database queries, file paths, and outbound actions.
- Run with synthetic data and harmless destinations. Enable triggers only after checking the actual outputs.
Requirements
An n8n instance with the listed node types and compatible versions. Service-connected workflows may require accounts, credentials, or paid APIs.

Sticky Note7
A form which collects the source option. Consider securing the form using Basic Auth.
Sticky Note8
Switch between the available options
Map Credentials
Map Credentials
Being mapped by name since one workflow can have multiple credentials of the same type.
Sticky Note10
Prepare a list of options for the next form
Sticky Note11
Request more input from the user
Sticky Note
Map Settings to selected instance and retrieve all workflows from it
Sticky Note13
Let the user choose a workflow from a list
Sticky Note14
Retrieve all credentials from this instance and convert the data to the final JSON format
Sticky Note15
Convert the retrieved workflow into the final JSON format
Sticky Note16
Combine the workflow and credential data to one item
Sticky Note17
Extract a list of all credentials from the workflow. The reference will be the old/existing name of the credential, since one workflow can contain multiple credentials of the same type.
Sticky Note18
Let the user map every credential or create new ones
Sticky Note20
Split mapped credentials into two streams, depending on wether they exist or not
Sticky Note21
Create empty credentials if the option "[create credential]" was selected. and add the name of the originally assigned credential for future reference
Sticky Note22
Gather all new credential data and update the workflow accordingly. The oldName is being used as a reference during the search.
Sticky Note23
Create the updated workflow on this instance
Sticky Note24
Provide feedback to the user wether the process was successful or not

Purpose and structure
This folder contains the Workflow Importer workflow. Its executable nodes use code, executeCommand, extractFromFile, filter, form, formTrigger, httpRequest, if, merge, n8n, noOp, readWriteFile, removeDuplicates, renameKeys, set, sort, splitOut. The table and connection map below are derived from the JSON, not an inferred guarantee of behavior.
Setup
Import inactive. Configure your own credentials and replace REPLACE_WITH_* values. Review external destinations and Code nodes before running.

Verification
Sanitized source candidate; not runtime-tested. This overview is generated from node metadata. Read the folder README for the connection map, credential types, and license.
